Zambezi Evangelical Church Plans to Revive Zambezi Press

CHIRADZULU, Malawi - The Zambezi Evangelical Church (ZEC) has unveiled its intentions to revive the Zambezi Press, according to Reverend Lobert Yanduya, the General Secretary of ZEC, writes Gift Kaimira.
Reverend Yanduya made the announcement during a church service at Namadzi Zambezi Evangelical Church in Chiladzulu on Sunday.
ZEC is one of the oldest churches in the country, with a rich history dating back 132 years when it was founded by the renowned missionary Reverend Joseph Booth.
Reverend Yanduya highlighted the significance of the church's historical background.
"The ZEC has a historical connection to a printing press, which was located where Sanjika Palace stands today. We aim to revive the press and resume printing books and stationery to enhance the church's finances," Reverend Yanduya explained.
He further emphasized the importance of documenting the history of the Zambezi Evangelical Church for future generations to explore and learn from.
The printing press for the Evangelical Church ZEC's Mitsidi Synod will be established in Blantyre, with the necessary funds being sourced externally.
