LILONGWE, Malawi— Renowned television personality Ruth Kulaisi cautioned youths Saturday to embrace diligence and champion positive change in their communities, writes Abraham Bisayi.

She decried young people sharing negative content online, saying it stymies progress.
"Let's change our chatter. Don't kill your own hope—get up and hustle just as hard," Kulaisi urged.
"Thoughts of wealth creation elude youths when they claim powerlessness and criticise lazily, burying their own dreams."
Joseph Daniel Sukali, an official with Grand Pen Africa Publications, invited youths to pursue writing to catalyse community change through storytelling.
"Symphony" explores daily life in Malawi, probing the social acceptance of divorce and extolling women as beacons of hope.
Author Lewis Gausi Jr. thanked attendees for supporting his vision to aid girls via his Raising Hope Network, providing sanitary supplies and menstrual health resources at Bowa Primary School.
