Moses Nkhana, MYO's executive director, made the call Thursday during a youth session with various stakeholders aimed at job creation and economic development.

He emphasized the need for stakeholders to help youth become productive citizens.
"We bring role models from various professions to sensitize young people about vocational skills, with the aim of reducing poverty and bad behaviors among youths," Nkhana said.
Gentry Kamanga, executive director of Good Health Organization, called the meeting vital, stressing the need for society to invest in youth to achieve accelerated development.
Florence Mwalyambwire, an automobile mechanic in the district, urged youths, especially girls, to become self-reliant through vocational skills.
Angella Phiri, a Form Four student at Mzimba Christian Academy Secondary School, said many youths face challenges due to poverty.
