Water and Sanitation Minister Opens New Health Post in Chikwawa
Minister Mia opens new health post in Senior Chief Ngabu's area.
Chikawawa, Malawi - Water and Sanitation Minister Abida Sidik Mia officially opened a new health post in the area of Senior Chief Ngabu on Saturday.
The health post, which has been built with the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), will provide much-needed medical care to the local community.
Mia, who is also the Member of Parliament for Chikwawa Nkombezi Constituency, said that she is committed to providing quality healthcare to the people of her constituency.
She also said that she plans to build more health facilities in the area in the future.
The new health post will provide a range of services, including vaccinations, basic medical care, and maternal and child health services.
It will also provide a place for mothers to bring their children for regular checkups.
The opening of the new health post was welcomed by the local community. Senior Group Village Headman Saopa said that the people of the Nkombezi constituency are grateful for the development that Mia is rendering to them.
"We used to travel long distances to Ngabu Rural Hospital to access medical services," said Saopa.
"But now, we have a health post right here in our community. This is a great relief for us."
The health post is a significant investment in the health of the people of Chikwawa.
