Emmanuel Thomas from Nyang'a village in the area of Traditional Authority Mbenje identified himself on Monday. Speaking to AfricaBrief, Thomas said due to his disability he finds it unsafe to be with the communities from Makhanga Island who have been relocated to Group Village Headman Milton.

The District Risk Management Officer (DRMO) for Nsanje, Daniel Mandala could neither confirm nor deny the situation, saying he needs to consult others.
"I have just been posted to Nsanje. I need to cross check with others before commenting," he said.

"He came back to the camp where he stays alone without any relations," she said.
