Tanzanian music icon Harmonize to perform live at Sand Music Festival
According to Festival Director of Impakt Events, Lucius Banda, they thought it was a good idea to bring Harmonize to this country because his music is well-liked.
Malawi: Tanzanian music icon Harmonize has been confirmed as one of the International Headliners who will perform live at this year's Sand Music Festival, which will take place at Kambiri Beach in Salima from September 30th to October 2nd, 2022.
According to Festival Director of Impakt Events, Lucius Banda, they thought it was a good idea to bring Harmonize to this country because his music is well-liked.
Banda said: “Harmonize will, indeed, be one of the International Headliners this year. Harmonize is very popular in this country. His music has been playing in Malawi for some time now, and he has a number of hits that are well-known in the country."
"We're staying with a few other international artists." As you are aware, we have already introduced one Ugandan artist, as well as Yo Maps and Organized Family from Zambia. We will also be joined by a South African artist. Once again, we have another international headliner; we don't know where he's from, but he's equally big.”
Banda stated that the main headliner for this year will be revealed by Monday of next week.
"By Monday, you'll know who will headline this year's Festival. We, at Sand Festival, do not support the idea of having one centralised artist. We want it to be a festival where people come to see more than one person. That is why we now have a variety of international artists from other countries as well as a large number of local artists from this country, "Banda stated.
He went on to say that there will be no fake tickets this year because the tickets are extremely secure.
"This year's tickets are both secure and unique. Actually, we will swipe your ticket on the door when you arrive. If anyone wishes to purchase early bird tickets, they must do so through FDH Bank at 525 Ufulu. They are priced at K30,000," he said.
"And the location where we are performing is also very secure. Everything has been completed, and the faces have been enforced. So it's going to be a fantastic event this year.”
He also urged Malawians to support them, saying that they are the festival that depends on Malawians and that the more support they receive, the better they will become.
