Standard Bank Donates K10 Million to Presidential Charity Golf Tournament

LILONGWE, Malawi — Standard Bank Plc has donated K10 million to the Presidential Charity Golf Tournament, reinforcing its commitment to community development and golf promotion in Malawi, writes AfricaBrief Reporter.
Tamanda Ng'ombe, Head of Brand and Marketing at Standard Bank, presented the sponsorship on Tuesday, emphasizing the bank's dedication to using golf as a platform for positive change.
"Standard Bank Plc is well established in a corporate social investment where we have a solid track record of contributing to the key sectors of education, health, and youth development," Ng'ombe said.
"The Presidential Charity Golf tournament aligns with our focus areas as it aims to raise funds to help in similar areas of need."
Boyd Luwe, Chairman of the Presidential Charity Golf Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude for the bank's support.
"This is a real testimony that Standard Bank is really a generous and responsible corporate," Luwe said.

The Presidential Charity Golf Tournament is scheduled for October 11-12, 2024, at the Limbe Country Club in Blantyre.
