Standard 8 Teachers Honored for Outstanding Performance in PSLCE at Bangula Primary School

Nsanje, Malawi - The Standard 8 Parents Committee at Bangula Primary School, under the Mlonda Education Zone in Nsanje, presented awards to the Standard 8 teachers for their exceptional performance in the 2023 Primary School Leaving Certificate Examinations (PSLCE) in the district, writes Cornelius Lupenga.
Joseph Chiwanda, Chair of the Committee, commended the teachers for their hard work and dedication, which resulted in outstanding results this year.
He expressed gratitude for the achievements of Bangula Primary School, stating, "We are very grateful for the results Bangula Primary School has produced this year, with 6 out of 12 students being selected to attend National Government Secondary Schools. This represents 50% of the district's contribution."
Patrick Bishop, the headteacher of the institution, praised the Parents Committee for their thoughtful gesture, describing it as a significant motivation for the teachers.
"As a school, I did not expect this recognition to come from the Standard 8 parents," said Bishop.
Steward Jailosi, one of the Standard 8 teachers, expressed his gratitude to the committee for acknowledging the teachers' efforts after the 2023 PSLCE results were announced.
"This is a nice move that will inspire teachers to go the extra mile," said Jailosi.
The ceremony, held on Wednesday, was a momentous occasion for the teachers, as they were recognised for their outstanding contributions to the students' success.
