South East Education Division Seeks Sponsorship for English Debate Challenge 2023
The competition aims to bring together over 30 secondary schools in the South East Education Division, covering the districts of Zomba, Machinga, Balaka, and Mangochi.
Zomba, Malawi - The South East Education Division Language Teachers' Association (SEED LTA) has issued a call for sponsorship to support the upcoming "Brain Master 2023" English Debate Challenge, writes Winston Mwale.
The competition aims to bring together over 30 secondary schools in the South East Education Division, covering the districts of Zomba, Machinga, Balaka, and Mangochi.
SEED LTA is seeking sponsors for various prize areas, totaling K2,569,000.
The sponsorship items include gold trophies, medals, silver and bronze medals, roll-up banners, a portrait, and social media stream live support.
The English debate challenge, which runs under the theme of "The Fight against Corruption," has partnered with the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for the 2023 edition. ACB will award cash prizes to the winning schools, emphasizing the importance of the fight against corruption in Malawi.
Mr. Fredrick M.C. Thom, the SEED LTA Divisional Coordinator, encourages interested partners, individuals, and stakeholders to consider contributing to this initiative.
He highlights the competition's potential to help students develop oral and written communication skills, critical thinking skills, effective research tools, organizational abilities, and presentation skills.
The competition also aims to instill confidence and a desire to participate in all academic classes while educating students about the fight against corruption.
