"Shepherding the Flock": CAPA Hosts Pastors and Church Leaders Conference in Lilongwe
The conference seeks to equip pastors and church leaders to present the truth of the word by exploring its meaning and applications.
Malawi: The Central Africa Preaching Academy (CAPA) has organized a pastors’ and church leaders’ conference, under the theme "Shepherding the Flock", to be held on the 13th and 14th of February at the Reformation Bible Church in Area 49, Lilongwe, writes Alinafe Nyanda.
The conference seeks to equip pastors and church leaders to present the truth of the word by exploring its meaning and applications.
Acting President of CAPA, Kellen Hiroto, spoke to journalists about the importance of faithful church leaders in the country and the role of the conference in fulfilling this need.
He emphasized that the ministry of pastors requires not just academic excellence, but also a lifestyle aligned with the teachings of the scriptures.
"Pastors and church leaders must not only know the Scriptures but also live them. Our partnership with Reformation Bible Church, Grace Bible Church, and International Bible Fellowship seeks to equip these leaders to present the truth and make proper applications of the word," Hiroto said.
Reformation Bible Church's senior pastor, Newton Chilingulo, also shared his thoughts on the need for healthy, theologically sound churches in the country.
He believes that the conference, organized by CAPA in partnership with several other churches, will empower pastors and church leaders to better serve their communities for the glory of the Lord.
The conference aims to train and equip pastors and church leaders to live out their faith and to lead their congregations to do the same.
With the goal of strengthening the church in Africa, CAPA is working to exalt Christ and build a foundation of faithful leadership in the country.
