NSANJE, Malawi — One Way Private Secondary School in Nsanje District held a cleaning exercise Friday at Sorgin Trading Center to promote good sanitation and prevent diseases, writes Moses Thole.
"As the school, we thought it wise to clean the market because as school we strongly believe that we can prevent some diseases like diarrhea and cholera when we are keeping our self and environment clean," said Clement Chimwaza, a school authority.
The school took action after observing unhygienic conditions at the trading center that posed threats of illnesses such as cholera, Chimwaza said.
