Preparations Underway for Malawi-Africa Prayer Summit
The prayers will be conducted in districts such as Blantyre, Thyolo, Mulanje, Chikwawa, Mangochi, Dedza, Balaka, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
LILONGWE, Malawi— Preparations are on track for the Malawi-Africa Prayer and Repentance Summit 2024, scheduled for Aug. 9-20, according to the national coordinator of the organizing group, National Repentance Malawi, writes Mayamiko Phiri.
Rev. Dr. Edward Mikwamba said the annual event will attract pastors from several African countries, including South Africa, Botswana, Tanzania, Zambia, Lesotho, Eswatini, Uganda and the host nation, Malawi.
"The purpose of the event is for the nations to come together and pray for the struggling economies of many African countries, poverty, diseases and also to pray for some countries who will be holding elections in the days to come," Mikwamba said in an interview.
The prayers will be conducted in districts such as Blantyre, Thyolo, Mulanje, Chikwawa, Mangochi, Dedza, Balaka, Lilongwe and Mzuzu.
Mikwamba has been instrumental in establishing Africa Repentance Ministries in countries like South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Eswatini and Lesotho.
National Repentance Malawi is a religious grouping that organizes the annual summit.
