Police Warn Against Transactions with Famijo Auto Traders
Malawi authorities warn public against Famijo Auto Traders.
Blantyre, Malawi- Malawian authorities are warning the public against engaging in any transactions with Famijo Auto Traders, a company based in Blantyre, writes Benson Kamonjola.
The company is suspected of defrauding Malawians of approximately 40 million Malawian Kwacha.
Famijo Auto Traders allegedly advertised itself as an importer of cars from Japan on behalf of clients. However, it is believed that this was a deceptive tactic aimed at exploiting unsuspecting individuals.
The Malawi Police Service has apprehended Arnold Wajomba, the director of Famijo Auto Traders. Wajomba is expected to appear in court soon to face charges of fraud and theft.
The police are urging anyone who believes they may have fallen victim to Famijo Auto Traders' fraudulent activities to report the incidents to the nearest police station.
The police are also advising the public to thoroughly investigate and verify the credibility of companies before engaging in any financial transactions.
The police are diligently pursuing this case to ensure justice is served and to protect the public from falling prey to similar fraudulent schemes in the future.
