The junior section saw 148 spellers vying for spots in the next round, with 29 making the cut.
This year's competition promises an exciting journey for participants, with the top spellers earning the opportunity to represent Malawi at The Africa Spelling Bee in Abuja, Nigeria, in December.
The spelling bee, sponsored by Zodiak Broadcasting Station, Bata Shoe Company, Gland Palace Hotel and others, celebrates linguistic excellence while fostering a spirit of competition among students across Malawi.
