Organizers of Ku Mingoli Music Bash Announce Venue Change
Ku Mingoli Music Bash changes venue due to public outcry over parking and security issues at previous location, organizers announce, writes Catherine Tembo.
Lilongwe, Malawi-The organizers of Ku Mingoli Music Bash have announced a change of venue for the event, following a public outcry from patrons and promoters at the previous venue, which had parking and security issues, writes Catherine Tembo.
The event was previously scheduled to be held at Lilongwe Golf Club but has now been moved to Grand Business Park.
Shadreck Kalukusha, one of the organizers and founders of Sound Addict, stated in an interview that the move was necessitated to solve concerns about parking, security, and ease of access to the event space.
"I can assure you that the security will be tightened as we have partnered with SRT Security to ensure the placement of guards all around the parking areas for both security and parking instructions," he explained.
Kalukusha has also announced the local artists who will perform alongside international artists such as Alaine, Yo Maps, Blaq Diamond, and Onesimus.
The local supporting artists include Kell Kay, Lulu, and Driemo Tuno, among others.
However, he stressed that there has been a challenge in terms of female artist representation, as only one local female artist has been confirmed so far.
The Ku Mingoli Music Bush is scheduled for July 22, 2023, and is expected to attract both international and local artists.
