Ntafu hat trick powers Chitipa over Karonga United

KARONGA, Malawi— Ramadan Ntafu scored a first-league hat trick to lead Chitipa United to a 4-1 victory over Karonga United in a TNM Super League match Sunday at Karonga Stadium, writes Victor Musongole.
Ntafu opened the scoring in the 9th minute and added goals in the 23rd and 52nd minutes.
Stimela Muyira scored two minutes later for Chitipa, while Blessings Mwalilino got Karonga's lone goal in the 73rd.
It was the first win of the season for Chitipa United, last year's surprise package in the Super League.
"I'm very happy, the win shows my players are working hard my boys are determined coming from a defeat it was not easy game so with the win we are on track for this season," said Elvis Kafoteka, Chitipa's assistant coach.

"We created a lot of chances but we wasted them my players lost confidence hence the loss we made several changes but nothing changed they lost hope we need to start utilizing chances," Kajawa said.
Ntafu was chosen player of the match.
