Nsangwe Football Club Claims Victory in Abdul Karim 10 Million Kwacha Trophy Final

Malawi: Nsangwe Football Club emerged victorious in the final match of this year's Abdul Karim K10 million Trophy, held at the Dolo Community Center Ground on January 8, 2023, writes Comfort Bulangete.
The match, which saw Nsangwe beat Mavume 4-2 in a penalty shootout after a scoreless draw, was attended by a large crowd and praised for its peaceful atmosphere.
"This is the 4th Zonal finals so far in the constituency. It's been a peaceful tournament throughout," said Lawmaker for Chikwawa South, Illias Abdul Karim.
He also announced that he plans to increase the monetary value of future trophies in order to continue promoting sporting activities in the area.
Karim praised the management of the K10,000,000 trophy for the smooth running of the competition.
Group Village Headman Mandere also thanked Karim and the team responsible for organizing the tournament, saying "I hail Karim for the K10 million trophy and also a team of people that managed it."
As the winners, Nsangwe Football Club received a prize of K350,000.
