NICE Says Mindset Change Crucial for Fulfillment of Malawi2063

Malawi-National Initiative for Civic Education (NICE) programmes manager for Lilongwe and Dedza, Daniel Malango, has emphasized the need for a mindset change at all levels to achieve Malawi2063, writes Benson Kamonjola.
He said this on Friday in Lilongwe during a meeting organized with religious leaders on the Malawi 2063 Vision.
Malango noted that religious leaders are influential in society, and their engagement is crucial for the success of the vision.
Malango stated, "It is sad that people think that the Malawi2063 will be fulfilled by the government alone. If everyone can take part, it will be easy to fulfil this dream."
Reverend Michael Msakwiza of Biwi Anglican Church, a participant in the meeting, expressed optimism that the vision could be easily fulfilled if everyone takes part.
"As religious leaders, we will now give our followers the correct information regarding the contents of Malawi2063," said Msakwiza.
NICE has also engaged politicians on the same issue in recent weeks.
Malawi2063 aims to achieve goals such as no poverty, zero hunger, quality education, and reduce inequality by the year 2063.
