National Planning Commission and Farm Radio Trust Collaborate to Popularize Malawi2063
The National Planning Commission and Farm Radio Trust sign an MoU to popularize Malawi2063 and address agricultural challenges.
LILONGWE, MALAWI — The National Planning Commission (NPC) and Farm Radio Trust have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote and popularize the Malawi2063, with a focus on agricultural productivity and commercialization, writes Bridget Mwanoka.
The signing ceremony took place at the NPC offices in Lilongwe on Friday, July 21, 2023.
The partnership aims to enhance access to information about Malawi2063 and provide expert voices and feedback on agricultural challenges.
NPC Director General Thomas Munthali highlighted the importance of the collaboration, stating, "As we are all aware, the agriculture sector is key to the country's transformative agenda. Farm Radio Trust will help in popularizing and receiving feedback on Malawi2063, utilizing digital platforms like radio."
Farm Radio Trust Chief Executive Officer George Vilili emphasized their role in providing information and popularizing the country's aspirations.
He stated, "We believe that for the vision to be realized, Malawi's long-term vision requires a collaborative effort, which can help address some of the challenges. That's where we come in."
The NPC further emphasized the need for a collaborative approach to successfully implement Malawi's long-term vision and address the country's challenges.
