Namibian President to Headline Africa Hospitality Investment Forum

WINDHOEK, Namibia — With just over a month until the Africa Hospitality Investment Forum (AHIF) opens on June 25, the government of Namibia has confirmed that President Nangolo Mbumba will headline the agenda of the influential annual gathering, writes Winston Mwale.
AHIF, known as the premier meeting for hospitality investors, business leaders and officials across Africa, typically draws delegates from over 50 countries for three days of networking, business meetings and discussions on industry trends.
Key topics on this year's agenda include investment by financial institutions, artificial intelligence, leisure trends, aviation connectivity, conservation, demographics, female leadership, government tourism initiatives, hotel development, workspace hospitality, international brands, investing in Namibia, geopolitical impacts and more.
Prominent speakers include Namibia's Environment, Forestry and Tourism Minister Pohamba Penomwenyo Shifeta and top executives with the ability to fund transformative projects, create jobs and boost tourism revenue across Africa.
Nangula Uaandja, chair and CEO of the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board, said the government has launched initiatives to create new tourism routes, establish a convention bureau and promote investment opportunities to enhance Namibia's attractiveness.
"Our team is ready to help investors ensure a seamless entry and soft landing in Namibia," Uaandja said.
AHIF founder Matthew Weihs said Namibia's commitment signals it values the international investment community and wants "to create a thriving visitor economy."
