Malawi: Female police officers in Mzuzu recovered a stolen motor vehicle during the Basadi operation on December 5th, 2022.

Sergeant Cecilia Mfune Juma, the Deputy Spokesperson for Mzuzu Police, told AfricaBrief that the vehicle registration number PE 6618 Mira, gold in colour, was stolen on December 4th, 2022 at Natures lounge in Kaning'ina Mzuzu.

According to Justice Tembo, the customer requested that the tax driver of the said vehicle pick him up at the lounge, and when he arrived, the suspects abandoned the vehicle they were driving, broke the victim's window, and dragged him out.

The incident was reported to Mzuzu Police Station, and the stolen vehicle was recovered by female police officers patrolling the area earlier today.

Meanwhile, a manhunt for the suspects has been intensified, and the abandoned vehicle has been impounded.
