MZUZU, Malawi— Mzuzu City Hammers FC continued their perfect start to the season with a 2-1 victory over Baka City on Saturday at Mzuzu Stadium, writes Lumbani Kaunda.
Isaac Msiska scored in the 28th minute and Yasin Rashid in the 78th for Mzuzu City before Eddie Mwambungu's consolation goal for Baka City in the 80th.
"We showed great character to get the win today," said Mzuzu coach Eric Atsogoleri. "Baka City made it very tough, but our quality shone through."
Isaiah Nyirenda was named man of the match for Mzuzu City.

In other matches, Civil Service United beat Dedza Dynamos 3-0, Kamuzu Barracks drew 1-1 with Mafco, and Mighty Tigers held FCB Nyasa Big Bullets 0-0.
