Mzuzu Business College Honours Top Student with Tuition Waiver
"As a token of appreciation, the management has granted her a tuition waiver valued at 200,000 Kwacha for her next academic term."
MZUZU, Malawi - Mzuzu Business College of Accountancy has awarded Linda Maseko, its top performing student, with a tuition-free semester in recognition of her outstanding academic achievement, writes Lumbani Kaunda.
Maseko excelled in her Association of Business Executive (ABE) exams, earning her the 2024 ABE Best Performing Student award.
Her impressive results ranked her among the top 10 students in Southern Africa and the leading student in Malawian private colleges.
"Linda Maseko's remarkable achievement has made us all proud," said Dr. Kennedy Khosa, the college's principal director.
"As a token of appreciation, the management has granted her a tuition waiver valued at 200,000 Kwacha for her next academic term."
A special celebratory lunch was organized for Maseko and her mother, who expressed overwhelming joy at her daughter's success.
As a single parent, financing Maseko's education has been a challenge, making this accomplishment even more meaningful.
Isaac Chagwa, Maseko's class teacher, attributed her discipline as a key factor behind her excellence.
"I'm confident Linda's achievement will inspire her peers to strive for greatness," Chagwa said.
This is not the first time Mzuzu Business College has produced a top-performing student.
In 2018, Edison Chagara also excelled in the same program, showcasing the institution's commitment to academic excellence.
Established in 2016, Mzuzu Business College of Accountancy is recognized as one of the premier private colleges in Mzuzu City, offering a diverse range of programs.
