Mulanje Institute Vows to Boost Tertiary Education Efforts

MULANJE, Malawi — The Mulanje Development Institute (MDI) has expressed its commitment to complementing government efforts in promoting tertiary education in line with the 2063 Africa developmental agenda, writes Gift Kaimira.
Dr. Watson Jay Nachipo, MDI's registrar, made the remarks Friday during the institute's graduation ceremony held under the theme "Living the Dream Amidst the Crisis" at Hapuwan Lodge in Mulanje.
"The private sector should come in assisting the government in the promotion of tertiary education for the country to achieve the 2063 developmental agenda," Nachipo said in an interview.
He urged the 54 graduates, who received diplomas in various courses including public health, to put into practice the knowledge gained at the institution.
One of the graduates, Regina Chapola, commended MDI for the acquired knowledge, saying it will help her assist communities by providing solutions to public healthcare systems.
