Mukuru Wanderers and Moyale Barracks Share Points in TNM Super League Draw

Blantyre, Malawi — Mighty Mukuru Wanderers and Moyale Barracks played to an intense 1-1 draw in a TNM Super League encounter at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre on Sunday, writes Happy Valirani.
Stanley Sanudi opened the scoring for Wanderers with a long-range shot in the 16th minute. Despite Moyale Barracks' efforts to find an equalizer, Wanderers held onto their 1-0 lead until halftime.
The second half saw both teams come out strongly.
Moyale Barracks continued to press Wanderers, while the Nomads missed several opportunities to extend their lead.
In the 90th minute, Moyale Barracks capitalized on Wanderers' defensive lapses, with Hassan Upindi scoring the equalizer.
The draw means Wanderers failed to extend their lead at the top of the league table.
They currently lead with 47 points, four points ahead of second-placed FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, who have 43 points and four games in hand.
Mark Harrison, the coach of Mighty Mukuru Wanderers, expressed his disappointment with the draw, saying, "We needed to control the game, but our performance was below par."
On the other hand, Victor Chingoka, head coach of Moyale Barracks, was pleased with the draw, stating, "It's very exciting that we managed to get a point away at Kamuzu Stadium. We were devastated in the first half, but we saw a change in the second half."
