MP Mia Lauds MACRA's School Connectivity Drive

CHIKWAWA, Malawi— Member of Parliament for Chikwawa Nkombedzi, Abida Sidik Mia, has praised the Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) for its efforts to establish ICT laboratories in every constituency through the Connect a School project, writes Moses Thole.
Speaking Saturday at Mkumaniza Community Day Secondary School in her constituency during the laying of a foundation stone for a new ICT lab, Mia expressed delight at the development.
"I am extremely happy because learners will be able to acquire computer skills and access information through the internet," Mia said, adding that the community will also benefit from internet access within a 100-meter radius of the lab.
According to MACRA Director Daudi Suleman, the regulator plans to establish three ICT labs per constituency within the next two years under the project.
