Moyale Edges Wanderers 2-1 in Malawi Super League Clash

BLANTYRE, Malawi— Moyale Barracks secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Mighty Mukuru Wanderers in a TNM Super League match at Kamuzu Stadium on Saturday, writes Happy Valirani.
Emmanuel Allan and Luke Chima netted for Moyale, while Isaac Kaliati scored a consolation goal for Wanderers.
The win propelled Moyale to sixth place in the league standings with 17 points. Wanderers remain second with 21 points, with both teams having played 12 games.
Moyale Barracks head coach Prichard Mwansa expressed delight with the result.
"We are very happy that we have collected three points over Wanderers," Mwansa said.
"It wasn't an easy task to win this game. We didn't start well, Wanderers were a good side and came hard on us, especially in the first half, but we managed to get the maximum points."
Wanderers coach Meke Mwase acknowledged his team's dominance despite the loss.
"We dominated the entire ninety minutes of the game. Unfortunately, luck wasn't on our side," Mwase said.
"We controlled the game very well in terms of ball possession, but we didn't score enough goals."
