MZUZU, Malawi— Moyale Barracks defeated Kamuzu Barracks 2-0 in a Super League match at Mzuzu Stadium, bolstering their hopes for a Top 8 finish, writes Victor Musongole.

The first half ended in a goalless stalemate.
However, the introduction of Amos Chipeta and Prince Phiri at halftime transformed the game.
Their impact was felt immediately, as Kamuzu Barracks was forced to defend deeper in their half.
Prince Phiri's corner kick was deflected by a defender, giving Moyale Barracks the lead in the 52nd minute.
Luke Chima sealed the victory with a second goal in the 72nd minute, directing another corner kick from Prince Phiri into the net.
Moyale Barracks player Pritchard Mwansa expressed his satisfaction with the win.
"We struggled in the first half, but we picked up in the second half and scored twice. This victory boosts our hopes for a Top 8 finish if we perform well in our last two games," Mwansa stated.
In contrast, Kamuzu Barracks coach Charles Kamanga attributed the loss to his players' lack of teamwork.
"We were playing individual football. My players performed as if they were forced. We gave away cheap goals and failed to capitalize on our chances," Kamanga lamented.
