MZUZU, MALAWI — MISA Malawi, in collaboration with DW Academy, is currently conducting a four-day radio skills training in Mzuzu, writes Tionge Hara.
The training aims to enhance the practical work of community radio stations in the Northern region.
The training, led by Emmanuel Kondowe, covers various topics, including the purpose and audience of community radio, reporter talk, features, and vox pops.
The emphasis is on equipping trainers with the necessary skills to effectively engage with their communities through radio.
Among the participating community radio stations are Mzimba Community Radio, Tigabane, Tuntufye, Likoma, Voice of Livingstonia, Rumphi, and Dinosaur.
The training seeks to empower these stations to better serve their listeners and contribute to the development of their communities.
