MINISTER OF SPORTS ASSURES AUGUST HOUSE TO COMPLETE YOUTH CENTER PROJECT IN MZUZU
"I can assure the people from the north, to be most specific Mzuzu, that this project will be completed as we have an allocation of about K2 billion in this financial year," said the minister.
MALAWI: Minister of Youth and Sports Ulemu Msungama this afternoon delivered a ministerial statement concerning the project of Youth Center in Mzuzu which will be built behind the Grand Palace Hotel.
A legislator for Chikwawa North, Owen Chomanika, asked the minister to assure them that this time around the project will be completed as he is the fourth minister doing the same project.
Msungama told the august house that the project was supposed to start way back but several issues surrounding this project wanted some serious attention.
He said, “The procurement process somehow did not go well, and there were a lot of anomalies. So when we got into the office we had to reflect on all those things and start the process all over again so that we give people from the north the project that they have been longing to have."
