MCP Secretary General Praises President Chakwera's Dedication to Malawi's Development
Mkaka highlighted President Chakwera's commitment to see Malawi prosper and achieve the goals of Malawi 2063.
LILONGWE, MALAWI — Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Secretary General and Lilongwe Mpenu legislator, Eisenhower Mkaka, lauded President Lazarus Chakwera's tireless efforts for the country's progress, writes Esther Banda.
Speaking at a development rally in Lilongwe City's South East Constituency on July 30, 2023, hosted by legislator Ulemu Msungama, Mkaka highlighted President Chakwera's commitment to see Malawi prosper and achieve the goals of Malawi 2063.
"President Chakwera is working tirelessly for the development of this country, aiming to make Malawi a prosperous nation admired by many African countries," said Mkaka.
Despite global challenges, Mkaka assured the public that President Chakwera is focused on national development and has already initiated various projects, including the construction of tarmac roads across the country.
Ulemu Msungama expressed gratitude to President Chakwera for the significant developments in his constituency, such as the transformation of a once poor road to a beautiful tarmac road, the establishment of Chilinde Health Centre with a mortuary, and the construction of concrete bridges.
Minister of Information Moses Kumkuyu reassured Malawians that President Chakwera and his Cabinet will continue working for their welfare.
He encouraged farmers to grow more soybeans, promising favourable markets and prices for their produce.
In his remarks, First Deputy Speaker of Parliament Madalitso Kazombo warned the Minister of Lands, Deus Gumba, not to allocate any of the 5,000 plots of land earmarked for Malawians to foreigners.
He emphasised that Malawians deserve the best, having endured hardships for too long.
