JOHANNESBURG, South Africa— Corporate and Institutional Integrity Africa (CII-Africa) has appointed Dr. McBride Peter Nkhalamba as the new director of its board, writes Peter Chilongo.
Nkhalamba has over two decades of influential work contributing to the evolution of governance practices in Africa and beyond.
Nkhalamba's extensive background includes strategic leadership roles in multilateral institutions, international organizations and state-affiliated institutions across Africa, Asia, Europe and the United States.
His expertise spans international diplomacy, public administration, public policy and global governance.
Previously, as director of specialized governance and reporting at the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), Nkhalamba played a pivotal role in enhancing regulatory frameworks and improving sovereign credit ratings throughout Africa.
His work addressed regulatory gaps and promoted local credit rating agencies, essential for boosting investment climates.
"Nkhalamba's appointment aligns seamlessly with CII-Africa's mission to foster transparency and accountability in corporate and institutional practices," said CII-Africa in a statement.
