Malawi: The Maso Awards organisers have announced 30 categories, including non-music segments.

The group announced the categories on Monday in Blantyre, with the awarding ceremony scheduled for November 26, 2022, at the Amaryllis Hotel in Blantyre.

Augustine Musika, director of the Maso Awards drive, says the initiative wants to promote talent, with a focus on young people and has themed this year's awards "Youth Empowerment through Arts."

Artist of the Year (male and female), Best Live Act, Music Video of the Year, and Media Personality of the Year are among the categories unveiled.

Best Artist of the Year nominees include Eli Njuchi, Gwamba, Pisky, Driemo, and Onesmus, while Music Video of the Year nominees include Mojo by Driemo, Gugugu by Eli Njuchi, Experience by Henry Czar, Nge - Namadingo, and Khumbe by Janta ft Henwood.
