MZUZU, Malawi— The Federal System for Change elected a new leadership committee Saturday in Mzuzu, marking a significant step in its campaign to promote federalism as a path to enhance Malawi's development, writes Lumbani Kaunda.
Roosevelt Phiri, the movement's publicity secretary, urged the new committee to persist in their advocacy efforts.
"Federalism has the potential to significantly improve our country's development prospects," he said.
Phiri revealed plans to establish similar committees nationwide, focusing on educating the population about federalism's benefits.
Newly elected Chairperson Jimmy Bright Ngwira pledged unity among committee members.
"We'll work closely to ensure our efforts are cohesive and impactful," he said.
