Malawi University Wins Regional Innovation Management Award

MAPUTO, Mozambique— The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (MUBAS) has received the "Organisational Growth in Innovation Management" award at the 2024 Southern African Research and Innovation Management Association (SARIMA) conference, writes Winston Mwale.
The SARIMA Awards, established in 2014, celebrate excellence in research and innovation management across the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
They aim to recognize individuals and institutions making significant contributions to these fields.
Dr Madalitso Tsakama, head of research and innovation at MUBAS, highlighted the importance of the award.
"This recognition underscores our outstanding commitment to building institutional capacity to manage innovations," Tsakama said.
"It reflects the growth and professionalization of research management in our region, fostering a culture of innovation that benefits both local communities and the global research landscape."
