At a welcoming dinner hosted by Chinese Vice President Han Zheng, President Chakwera acknowledged the significant strides made since establishing diplomatic ties in 2008, including numerous influential projects supported through grants and concessional loans.
China has successfully implemented vital infrastructure projects in transportation, education, healthcare, and energy, transforming livelihoods in Malawian communities.
President Chakwera expressed gratitude for China's timely humanitarian assistance in the wake of climate-related disasters and reaffirmed Malawi's commitment to lobbying for more meaningful outcomes from the growing partnership.
