MZUZU, Malawi — First Lady Monica Chakwera presided over the World Day of Prayers at Mzuzu Stadium Friday, focusing on the theme "I made you wonderful" while emphasizing it's "more than just a phrase—it's a powerful affirmation of our inherent worth", writes Tionge Hara.
The March 7 event brought together women from diverse backgrounds, accompanied by Chief Secretary to Government Coleen Zamba and Monica Chingamuno.
"Every woman's participation is crucial, as we come together to pray for the world's well-being, peace, and prosperity," said Esther Sandra Grant, National Chair for the Women's Day of Prayers.
Grant highlighted the global nature of the event, noting it transcends "geographical boundaries and cultural differences" while connecting Malawian women with counterparts worldwide.
