Malawi Assures Coca-Cola of Support for Expansion Plans

US - Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera assured Coca-Cola Corporation of his administration's support for the company's expansion plans in Malawi during the 16th U.S.-Africa Business Summit on Monday, writes Winston Mwale.
"My interface with a delegation from Coca-Cola Corporation offered assurances and support to the company's expansion intentions in Malawi," Chakwera said.
Karyn Harrington, Vice President for Public Affairs, Communications, and Sustainability at Coca-Cola Africa, together with her delegation, outlined the investment initiatives they intend to carry out aimed at supporting Malawi's development agenda through increased manufacturing and job creation.
"While appreciating its progressive intentions, I have informed the company of my administration's support to help the business grow," the president added.
Chakwera's remarks highlight the Malawian government's commitment to attracting foreign direct investment and promoting economic development through partnerships with multinational corporations like Coca-Cola.
