Malawi Agriculture Minister Applauds Partnership with AGRA

LILONGWE, Malawi - Malawi's Minister of Agriculture Sam Kawale has praised the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) for its efforts to transform the country's agricultural sector, writes Mayamiko Phiri.
Kawale made the remarks during a meeting of East and Southern African (ESA) regional countries at the BICC Hotel in Lilongwe.
He applauded AGRA for its partnership with the Malawian government to improve agriculture.
The minister said the government, through its proposed budget, will make investments in irrigation and assist youth in agriculture through capacity building.
