CHIKWAWA, Malawi— A newly-formed community organization plans to mark Mother's Day with donations to vulnerable residents in two traditional authority areas of Chikwawa district, writes Moses Thole.
Dyeratu Nzika, established in July 2024, will distribute food and other items to disadvantaged individuals, including orphans, in the Katunga and Kasisi regions on October 15.
"Every household is contributing a little amount of money monthly in a bid to assist people in question," said Evance Mathews, chairperson of the group, during a leadership meeting Sunday at the organization's headquarters.
