Local girl

Malawi: Keturah, a Malawian artist, is in the United States of America for a new music project.

Keturah left the country last weekend for the United States to record songs at Grammy-nominated producer Harlan Steinberger's state-of-the-art studio Hen House Studios in Los Angeles, California.

The world-famous band Playing for Change will provide support for the "local girl."

Jacaranda Cultural Centre executive director Luc Deschamps and Marie Da Silva made the artist's trip possible after being impressed by her music.

For the music deal, they approached USA's producer Harlan Steinberger.

Both Deschamps and Steinberger confirmed Keturah's trip and music project in Facebook posts.
