The late gospel icon, Grace Chinga, born on June 28, 1978, and tragically departing this world on March 16, 2016, was brought back to life through Kell Kay's heartfelt performance.
Eight years after her passing, Chinga's spirit was rekindled during the commemorative event.
The anniversary concert was a grand affair, featuring a lineup of exceptional performers, both local and international, who delivered outstanding acts.
However, it was a poignant moment that drew tears and applause when Kell Kay chose to perform Grace Chinga's timeless classic, "Chimdalitso (Ndiuululireni)."
Kell Kay, overwhelmed by the tremendous support from fans, took the opportunity to express his gratitude in a heartfelt manner.
He decided to perform one of Chinga's cherished classics as a token of appreciation to both his supporters and the late gospel songbird.

After the concert, Israel, one of Grace Chinga's sons, conveyed his warm appreciation to Kell Kay, especially for his moving rendition of "Chimdalitso."

It was an incredible performance, especially with the amazing rendition of 'Chimdalitso' by my late mother Grace Chinga. What a fantastic moment to cherish."
