HRDC Calls on Government to Address Fuel Crisis as National Crisis

Lilongwe, Malawi - In a passionate plea, the Human Rights and Democracy Coalition (HRDC) has called on the Malawian government to treat the ongoing fuel issue as a national crisis and take immediate action to alleviate the suffering of its citizens, writes Winston Mwale.
"The current state of affairs is both alarming and unsettling, as the government's inaction and silence on this matter has left the nation questioning whether there is any executive or political leadership in place to address this pressing concern," expressed HRDC in their statement released today.
HRDC said. amid the lengthy fuel queues, it is disheartening that the President and his Cabinet have opted to stay quiet, thereby provoking concern among the good-hearted citizens of Malawi
"The repercussions of the fuel crisis are far-reaching and have affected many businesses and Malawians are failing to perform their economic activities. The livelihoods of countless Malawians are hanging in the balance, and the time for decisive action is now," urged HRDC.
