Guinea Becomes 43rd Member of ATAF, Strengthening Domestic Resource Mobilisation

CAPE TOWN, South Africa- The African Tax Administration Forum (ATAF) welcomed Guinea as its 43rd member during the ATAF Annual Meetings in Cape Town on Wednesday, writes Winston Mwale.
ATAF Executive Secretary Logan Wort, spoke with confidence about the growing role of revenue administration and tax collectors in shaping the African economy.
Wort highlighted the importance of improving domestic resource mobilization to enhance the lives of African people, emphasising that it's the duty of African governments to be accountable to their citizens and create a living environment that attracts young men and women.
Wort addressed young men and women, stating that they deserve to live and work in Africa, contributing to governments that are accountable to their citizens.
"We must work together to make Africa a place where Africans and others want to live. It's our task to make it so," Wort said.
"Welcome to the family, Guinea, and we look forward to a wonderful journey together."
