Grand Palace Partners Nyika Media on EGM
The leaders from the two organizations signed a memorandum followed by a briefing on Friday afternoon at Grand Palace.
MZUZU, Malawi - One of the leading hospitality providers in Mzuzu has entered into partnership with Northern region-based media grouping Nyika Media Club on the journalists’ forthcoming March 2 Elective Annual General Meeting, writes Victor Musongole.
The leaders from the two organizations signed a memorandum followed by a briefing on Friday afternoon at Grand Palace attended by members of the club from different media houses in the northern region.
"It is good to work as a group so partners can reach you easily so we have responded to their call to host them, this is not the first time we have accepted to help them with services worth K1.7 million," said Grand Palace Manager Sam Phiri.
Nyika Media Club Outgoing Chairperson Joseph Mwale, while calling on other partners to come in for the good cause, described the partnership with Grand Palace Hotel as a great relief for the club as they anticipate the EGM early next month.
"We are greatly honored to enter into partnership with the hotel, they have offered us a hall, you know some partners only need journalists to clear their names or companies but Grand Palace has sacrificed a lot for us, we still need more partners for our successful EGM, we promise to reciprocate the gesture," Mwale said.
"We are greatly honored to enter into partnership with the hotel.”
While there is less known about aspirants, the publication understands the current vice Chairperson Feston Malekezo will be vying for the Chairperson position.
