NPC LAUNCHED ITS 10 YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN
The Malawi National Planning Commission on Tuesday 30th November 2021 launched its 10-year Strategic Plan in Lilongwe, as one way of fulfilling Vision 2063 for a better Malawi.
MALAWI: The Malawi National Planning Commission on Tuesday 30th November 2021 launched its 10-year Strategic Plan in Lilongwe, as one way of fulfilling Vision 2063 for a better Malawi.
The strategic plan outlines how NPC is going to carry forward the implementation of the long-term plans to transform Malawi.
Sosten Gwengwe, Minister of Trade, said, “It's a long journey, and for us to be able to transform this country, we will need everyone to buy into the dream.”
NPC Chairperson Prof Richard Mkandawire said they were delighted with the leadership of this country because it has set a tone for development.
"It's critical that we get the leadership talking about the Malawi 2063 and now we are beginning to define the roadmap on how we want to operationalize it,” said Mkandawire
"The strategic plan speaks to how we move towards implementing some of the flagship priorities that have been identified by various Ministries."
The United Nations Development Program Resident Representative, Shigeki Komatsubara, said they are happy with this strategic plan.
"National Planning Commission is a very important partner for UN and UNDP, and we are committed to working with them and all other stakeholders to make sure that this strategic plan gets implemented."
