Speaking at the official opening of Kamuzu Dam One, Minister Mia stated that the government has initiated various piped water schemes across Malawi's Central, Northern, and Southern regions to ensure access to clean portable water.
Mia also praised the Chakwera administration for increasing the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) from 30 Million Kwacha to 100 Million Kwacha.
She highlighted that this increase has allowed Members of Parliament (MPs) to undertake various development projects in their respective areas, such as drilling boreholes and constructing school blocks using the CDF.
The government's commitment to improving water sources and increasing access to clean water aligns with its objective of addressing waterborne diseases and improving public health throughout the country.
