Fuel Scarcity Ends at ENGEN Filling Station in Nsanje, Motorists Rejoice
After days of fuel scarcity, a fuel tanker arrives at the ENGEN Filling Station, providing relief to motorists in Nsanje.
NSANJE, MALAWI — After days of fuel scarcity at the ENGEN Filling Station in Bangula trading centre, Nsanje, motorists finally found respite as a fuel tanker arrived late on Saturday evening to deliver much-needed fuel, writes Cornelius Lupenga.
The news of the tanker's arrival spread quickly, and scores of motorists lined up at the station in anticipation of purchasing fuel for their vehicles.
Gibson Zibophe, a motorcycle operator, was among those who eagerly awaited the fuel delivery.
He decided to secure a better position by spending the night at the filling station to ensure he could buy fuel the following morning.
"I had to spend a night within the station to be in a better place to purchase fuel," Zibophe explained.
For Damiano Sinosi from the Misamvu area, the scarcity of fuel in his region necessitated taking advantage of the opportunity at the Bangula filling station.
He was tipped off by his relatives about the fuel delivery and brought along jerricans to stock up on fuel, as their area lacks a nearby filling station due to its remote geographic position.
"I am from a mountainous area where most people depend on motorists travelling to and from Bangula or Sorgin Trading Centres for social services," Sinosi claimed.
A pump attendant at the ENGEN Filling Station, who wished to remain anonymous, revealed that the fuel tanker had indeed arrived late on Saturday, causing a delay in offloading the gasoline.
However, he assured the public that they had received 10,000 litres of petrol and 5,000 litres of diesel, providing much-needed relief for the fuel-strapped community.
With fuel once again available at the ENGEN Filling Station in Bangula Trading Centre, motorists in the area can now resume their daily activities without the worry of fuel shortages.
The arrival of the fuel tanker has brought hope and convenience to the community, ensuring that transportation services and essential activities can run smoothly once more.
