FDH Bank Cup Round of 32 Draw Held, Exciting Matches Ahead

BLANTYRE, Malawi— The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) and FDH Bank PLC conducted the round of 32 draw for the 2024 FDH Bank Cup on Tuesday at FAM's Headquarters in Chiwembe, Blantyre, writes Happy Valirani.
The draw includes 16 Super League teams and 16 teams from three regional leagues: South, Center, and North. Winners will advance to the round of 16.
Notable fixtures include defending champions FCB Nyasa Big Bullets facing Bangwe All Stars, Creck Sporting Club hosting FOMO FC, and Karonga United playing against Mzuzu City Hammers.
Three matches will see Super League teams competing against each other.
Gomezgani Zakazaka, FAM's Competition and Communications Manager, expressed excitement about the draw.
"We have exciting matches... We are guaranteed to see lower league sides progressing to the next phase of the competition, which is very exciting and the whole essence of this competition," Zakazaka said.
Ronald Chimchere, FDH Bank Marketing Manager, reiterated the bank's commitment to football development in Malawi.
"We are very excited with the way the draw has been conducted... It seems it is going to be another year that we are looking forward to," Chimchere stated.
The round of 32 games are scheduled to take place between the first and second week of July.
