FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Top 2023 TNM Super League Table

BLANTYRE, Malawi-FCB Nyasa Big Bullets top the log table standings of the 2023 TNM Super League with 30 points after finishing their first-round matches on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, writes Happy Valirani.
Bullets drew 1-1 with Mighty Tigers at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre, while second-placed Silver Strikers drew 0-0 with Moyale Barracks in Mzuzu.
In the Bullets-Tigers match, Precious Chiudza gave Tigers the lead in the 35th minute, but Ephraim Kondowe equalised for Bullets in the 48th minute.
Both teams had chances to win the match, but neither could find the winning goal.
Bullets coach Calisto Pasuwa was satisfied with his team's performance, saying they are in the race to win the league title.
"We are in the race, we have been rejuvenating the team every year, and finishing with 30 points, we can't deny it," Pasuwa said.
Tigers coach Christopher Nyambose also expressed satisfaction with his team's performance, saying they will come back stronger in the second round.
"We are just okay, we have started scoring goals. The good thing is that we are not conceding much. We just need to find a hitman to get us goals," Nyambose said.
The second round of the TNM Super League is expected to kick off on Saturday, August 5, 2023.
